History of Mindfulness
If we turn pages of history, we can find so many facts about mindfulness and how it has been introduced in our life in steps. The root of mindfulness deeply connected with Buddhist culture and spirituality. It was originated and nurtured in Buddhist monasteries and then set up a connection with the secular western enclave by following an unexpected trajectory from Southern Asia.
The Buddhist Monk usually practices mindfulness as a mind-training method to enhance their self-confidence and sense of presence. It also helps them to enlighten spiritually in their lifestyle.
To represent the process to be more amenable to the Western they mold it as a non-religious and autonomous method to attain the power of mind control so that anyone can follow it. Thus, with the flow of time mindfulness reconceptualised as psychological training that aimed at the discipline and to learn how to make our mind to exist in the present thoughts. So, from the ancient time till now, it gained a different dimension and used as a therapeutic and concentration-enhancing purpose.
